Successful Presidents' Conference in Vienna

Most of the Presidents of the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry EEIG came to Austria and met in Vienna on 21 st and 22 nd November 2003. A few Presidents were not able to come because of political reasons. After an introduction and presentation of the new website of the EEIG (www.economic-chamber-eu.org) and its advantages and links, the Chairman of the Board and Conference, Prof. Dr. Heinz Helmut Vejpustek, asked the attending Presidents to complete their own websites in order to be linked with the EEIG website.

Further he appealed to the participants to contribute to a fast development of the EEIG 's international network by recommending reliable and politically well- connected persons of high social and economic standing as Presidents, Vice Presidents, Chairmen of Commission and Heads of Central Offices for special tasks in countries whereever they have business friends and partners. The success of the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry EEIG is founded in the fact that many of the national Presidents are very important persons in their countries, e.g. former ministers of government, presidents of parliament, advisers to the government, presidents of the national chambers, and presidents of international organizations.

Then the EEIG -Presidents reported on their activities and views on the work of the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry EEIG . The Presidents passed unanimously Resolution No. 1/2003 that there should be one Presidents' Conference per year at the legal or operational headquarters of the EEIG in autumn. It was agreed upon to have the next Presidents' Conference in Brussels from Thursday, 16 th September till Sunday, 19 th September 2004.

The President agreed that there should be two or three bigger events per year, e.g. Trade Delegations, Economic Summits, with a clear view to international projects.

Following the advice of Hon. Izz El-Din El-Sayed Mohamed, a further decision was that every President should authorize a substitute to take part in case that he cannot attend a Presidents' Conference. Each President should be represented with a seat and a vote at every Presidents' Conference which will have the function of a guiding board which passes resolutions and sets up the policy of the EEIG and the working programme for the next period.

It was discussed to bring a trade delegation of high ranking businessmen leaded by the President for Iran, Prof. Dr. Techn. Massud Mossaheb, to Teheran where they can discuss governmental projects with the relevant ministers of government (in February 2004). The President for Romania, Mr Helmut Schott, invited the presidents to participate in the AGRARIA - International Trade Fair for Agriculture, Food Industry and Packing in Cluj-Napoca/Romania from May 4 th till 8 th, 2004. The next "Economic Forum" will be held in Moscow in June 2004, with a post-congress tour to St. Petersburg .

The President for Canada proposed to collect and forward all interesting informations on possible projects to a sort of "Project Pool" at the Head Office which will acts as a link and distribute these informations to all presidents. Further he suggested to make advertising and public relations activities in favour of the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry EEIG. The general wording should be drafted and coordinated by the Head Office. In this context Mr Alexander Bocharov, President for Russia and Governor for the CIS, showed the advertising which he had put in Russian economic magazines.

President Prof. Dr.Techn. Massud Mossaheb indicated that two new products were on the market, namley the high-quality Digital Microscope Bilogic & Stereo which can be combined with computers and TV screens and the Firooz Dental Chair for dentist, a real unit for professionals.

The Chairman of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Heinz Helmut Vejpustek, pointed to the YDROSTAS® Water Desalination Method which is really revolutionary in this field since it sets not only new technical and economical standards but is also ecologically beneficial. The system can be used in any part of the world where sea water, brackish water, brine or any other water is available. It can be used on land and on ships. Since the plant works fully automatically no permanent staff is needed and the energy costs are very low thanks to a heat recovery system. The prodcuts are drinking water and cooking salt as a by-product. The producers are also working on a new generation of wind energy machines with a vertical shaft.
